Cooking the Books - Food Costing Workshop

ClubsVIC in conjunction with Andrew Briese of Cooking the Books are pleased to offer food costing training for club managers & chefs.
Cooking the Books has developed an interactive theory short course which simplifies food costing procedures. Managers and Chefs who want to be ahead of the pack will learn about: portion control, yield testing, standard recipes, dish costing, menu analysis, stocktaking, food costing and food cost formulas.

OH&S Training Courses

ClubsVIC, in conjunction with Interactive Training Services, is proposing to conduct WorkSafe approved 5 Day Occupational Health & Safety & One Day Refresher training courses commencing in March. These courses are designed to develop the knowledge and practical skills of club personnel in order to deal with OH&S issues and hazards in the workplace.

BOWLS DAY
ClubsVIC Bowls Day 2009 was held on Friday 27 February at Mulgrave Country Club. The full field of 32 teams thoroughly enjoyed the day’s bowls and lunch. The lunchtime raffle was a huge success, raising almost $2000.00 for charity.

Thanks also go to the many event sponsors including Foster’s, Coca Cola, McWilliams, CGS Group and HostPLUS, Johns Lyng Group and Evolve Accounting.

GOLF DAY
ClubsVIC's annual Gala Golf Day was held on Monday 20 April at Southern Golf Club. The full field of golfers that took to the greens enjoyed a perfect day and a magnificant course.

The evening’s presentation dinner was compered by ClubsVIC President, Johnnie Walker and featured entertainment from Greg champion.

PRESIDENTS' NIGHT
Presidents' Night 2010 will be held on Tuesday 22 June at the RACV City Club.

Once again we will be holding the President of the Year Awards. The Awards will be presented at Presidents' Night along with the Chefs Table winners.

ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS
The ClubsVIC Achievement Awards is the biggest event on the club calendar. Held at the prestegious Crown Palladium ballroom, the awards recognise the efforts and achievements of clubs over the past tweleve months. The 2009 Achievement Awards will be held on Sunday 22 November.
