ClubsVIC runs a variety of training sessions and events for clubs throughout the year. For more information on ClubsVIC training sessions click here TrainingAWA WORKSHOPSThe sessions are designed to provide clubs with hands-on assistance with preparing AWAs for club employees. Attendees will workshop their own documents to suit their clubs’ needs. Follow up telephone advice will be provided for attendees who need more individual assistance. Due to the interactive nature of these sessions, numbers are strictly limited to 10 clubs (maximum of two persons per club). BUSINESS BRIEFINGS
MENU COSTING WORKSHOPS Andrew, a qualified chef has had over 18 years experience in the industry. He has worked for 5 star hotels in Europe, Japan, Melbourne and through his experience found that making money out of selling food is an essential skill and one that is greatly sort out by management and small businesses. The workshop is conducted in small groups to ensure that participants have the opportunity to get the most from the activities. Book early for these sessions are places are limited. OH&S TRAINING The training is clubs specific and is delivered by trainers with experience in the hospitality industry. Participants will receive a certificate upon completion of the 5 days and comprehensive course notes. The 5 day training is ideal for Health & Safety Representatives, club managers and OH&S committee members. The training will be interactive and practical, and those attending will gain experience in conducting a thorough workplace risk assessment on location at a particular club. Club managerial staff & club committee members have the option of attending day 1 & 2 only of the 5 day course, which will equip them with knowledge of the OH&S legal duties of the various workplace parties, what their role is in ensuring compliance with OH&S - including the heightened consultation obligations under the OH&S Act 2004 that commenced on 1 January - and how to resolve safety issues that arise in the workplace.
